In a neighborhood that has a distinct architectural style, master architect Andi Pepper his wife have designed the 187-room, 14-floor Hotel Gansevoort to be sophisticated and minimalistic. With a lavish use of leather and fabric, they have created a rich, contemporary feeling. The signature feature of the hotel is it's rooftop - featuring a richly landscaped roof garden and an expansive loft with soaring 20-foot ceiling that offers breathtaking city views in three directions and is a stylish new venue for special events. A 45-foot outdoor heated pool with underwater music anchors the roof's other side. The hotel also features a bar and restaurant managed by China Grill Management, and a 5,100-square-foot full-service spa and exercise facility, as well as a state of the art boardroom, business center and meeting room.
Hotel Gansevoort is located in New York City near: The Meatpacking District is home to the city’s hottest restaurants and bars, a number of upscale boutiques and salons, and if you’re up early enough, a bit of genuine old-fashioned meatpacking. Its advantages over other would-be hotspots (Hell’s Kitchen? Brooklyn, anyone?) include its deep downtown location, convenient to the financial district as well as the artier Soho and West Village, as well as, in places like the Gansevoort’s rooftop lounge, sweeping views of the Hudson River.
